Terms of Use
Last updated: July 2026 · Pocket Raccoon
1. The service
Where is My Pet? is a free community app to help reunite lost dogs and cats with their owners. Users publish sightings of pets seen on the street and can register their own pets to be notified if someone finds them. By using the app you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
You need an account to publish content. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you post and for keeping your credentials safe. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → delete account).
3. Community rules — zero tolerance for objectionable content
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Where is My Pet?. By using the app you agree not to post, and not to engage in, any of the following:
- Content unrelated to lost or found pets.
- False, misleading, fraudulent or commercial content, including fake sightings and rewards scams.
- Content that is offensive, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, violent, or that depicts animal cruelty.
- Content that infringes someone else's rights or exposes another person's private information.
- Harassing, impersonating or abusing another user, in a post or in a private message.
4. Reporting, blocking and enforcement
Every sighting, pet and chat message carries a Report option, and any user can block another user from that person's post or from their conversation, which immediately removes that person's content from their map, list and messages and stops them from making contact. Blocking can be undone at any time under Profile → Blocked people.
We review every report and act within 24 hours: objectionable content is removed and the account responsible is suspended or terminated. Reports and moderation questions: support@pocketraccoon.com.
5. Content you publish
You keep ownership of the photos and text you post. By publishing, you allow us to display them in the app so the community can help. Sightings are public and stop appearing on the map automatically after a few days.
6. Liability
The app connects people of good will, but we cannot guarantee that a pet will be found, nor do we verify the identity of users. When arranging to return a pet, prefer public, busy places. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
7. Privacy
How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves; the date above always reflects the latest version.
